Hello, I am just another of your typical noob kind of guy, I am wondering if someone could point me to a related site or post because I am having trouble getting sound from my instruments with Cubase 5, i have tried to setup vst connections etc.. but i am doing something wrong. My set-up is the following: ESI WaMi Rack 192L, E-MU Xboard49, Headphones and a Electric Guitar, I just cant connect them properly, i have trying too read the manual both from cubase and E-MU but nothing came out, I am nowhere near familiar with those processes or programs... I don't need for you to spend your time explaining what to do step by step, I just need to be pointed to the right direction, besides I believe that the only way to learn is to try doing it by myself, just need an "evolutionary kick in the butt"!;)

Did you install the ASIO drivers for the 192L and select your 192L as the ASIO device in "Device Setup"?

Do that and then go to "VST Connections"

Create an audio track and then select the appropriate input for that track.

Don't forget to click on the monitor button in cubase on the track your trying to record, otherwise you wont see a level.

I followed all of the above as the manual suggested, plus i entered a different mono channel for my guitar jack, that is the reason i need someone to point me to the right direction to search on my own...
