Hello, I'm trying to run Amplitube 3.0 and Amplitube Metal through Adobe Audition.

I know I need to find the .dll file, but I can't find one in the Amplitube Metal folder.

The only one in the Amplitube 3.0 folder is libsndfile-1.dll

But even then I can't get it to open up Amplitube on the effects rack.

I tried Reaper and I can't find Amplitube either.

Help?

I don't use Amplitube, so I don't know for sure about it, but some programs put the VST in C:\Program Files\VstPlugins, so see if a folder like that exists.

Reinstall amplitude and note where it is installing. Then in Audobe Audition, go to your folder settings and make sure that Audition is looking for VST's in the folder where Amplitude is installed.

I did that.

While running Adobe Audition I click Add/Remove VST Directory.

Click the folder and it scans and nothing comes up in the VST Plug-In Manager.

I opened up the Amplitube Metal folder and there are, AmplitubeMetal.VPA and AmplitubeMetal.PAK.

If those are the only files, you don't have amplitude installed properly. Files with .PAK are compressed like a zip or rar file. Extension .vpa are files for chat routines, like when you type in a bubble on a chat program.

Do you have the original disc that amplitude campe on or was it a download?

Get a program called "Ava Find". It's an instant search program for your computer. It builds/refreshes a search cache every so often of every single file on your computer (even the hidden ones), and it's DEAD handy for finding files. So, get it, install it, search for the exact name of your file, and you can find out where it is.

You know I have Dublin, Ireland on my iPhone world clock thingy specifically so I can see how late you're up Philby!

Pulling an all-niter again? ;)

That's a little strange but I'll accept it Armi :D

Actually, I'm kinda freaking out. See my "Urgent Hard Drive problem" thread in the Digital comps forum :(

It's OK... it's a 16Gig phone... it doesn't imply any real commitment to our relationship on my part... :laughings::laughings::laughings::laughings:

Oh, I see it's the same as London... Dublin, Ireland... delete... goooooone!

Hey thanks for the replies guys.

I got it to work. I simply wasn't putting a file in the right folder haha...
