Ah, you're Ian Anderson disguised! I caught you!
Very pleasant tune, everything sounds good to me except drums compression and bass eq. Doubled vocal is the right choice to add even more air to the song
Thanks very much to all who commented on this song. I really appreciate your critiques and will do my best to add real drums to my songs eventually. I use to be a drummer about 40 years ago, (my first instrument) but I'm not kidding myself into believing that I could do it justice at this point.
I do have access to a drummer and I will hit him with about a dozen songs to do and put out a CD soon. I think this song may be on it. Thanks again.
I was the "Big time producer" with a suit and a pony tail, i'd talk all this shit about "energy" and "vibe" then i'd try to get you to start the song with 0 drums then at a point cut a bar for a build-in and introduce the drums (real of course) also i think some 60's sounding toms would be pretty in this.
60's sounding toms are the ones that don't hum out.

a Squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbus, got me!
Yup, right at :59. She lays under a table and howls at the flute and harmonica and recorder. I guess everybody's a critic. But then again, maybe she likes it and wants to sing along.
When I recorded "The Hooded Rider" she barked right on cue at 3:54.
