whether I press play, fast forward, or backwards, it will only fast forwards
I am attempting to develop a knowledge of electronics and how to fix them, I just got a good solder and everything. I don't really know where to start, I'm assuming it's either these buttons or wherever these buttons connect up to where the problem must be right? Or perhaps a motor or something like that? I know the service manual is free online I just can't guess what would cause this problem or what would be the most obvious problems to look for first. I have absolutely no experience.
Anyone ever heard of a problem like this on this machine or any machine like this and knew what to do about it?
