Help With Zoom MRS-4 Digital 4-Track

Does anyone here use the Zoom MRS-4 digital 4-track? I'm having some problems using the effects and panning tracks.. Anyone have any suggestions?

Could you be a little more specific as to the trouble you are having?

I have an MRS-4, though I no longer use it, having upgraded to the MRS-1266.

I might be able to help if you could state what difficulties you are having.
 
How many send/return effects can you use for a song? I try to use say mono chorus on track one and mono short on track two.. When I select mono short for track two, it changes the effect for track one.. I even make sure that the correct track is lit, and the stereo link for that track is also turned off.. Am I missing something?

Nope, you're not missing a thing. Whatever send/return effect you use applies to all tracks. You can adjust the send level for each track to control how "wet" or "dry" the effect is.

But unfortunately you can't put a chorus effect on track 1, a different chorus effect on track 2, and a reverb effect on track 3.

your best bet is to upgrade to a better recorder, i also made the mistake to buy the mrs4, now they sell at the local msuci store for 100 bucks and under, yeah, low headroom, high noise floor, crap feature, bnot worth the 200, i hear fostex mr8 is a very good deal,
