Ok, I have optimized out the wahzoo for audio record, with a pentium 4, 28GHz cpu, and 512MB of RAM, yet I still get clicks, and skips when recording! I'm at my wits ends with this thing, I've read a few negitave review on this product in regards to Xp, is that my problem here? I tried it in adobe audition and had even more problems (latency, and only recorded to one side of the stereo), and then I read it was incompatible with audition. I know it has nothing to do with my computer, or my cables, so what the hecks wrong with this thing?

us122

I recently purchased the us122 and i'm very happy with it. I'd get the very rare click but i havent since i changed the buffer size to the max in the ASIO control panel. this will result in increased audio latency but for my purposes it doesnt matter. my computer is almost the same as yours. the manuel gives a number of tips, including unplugging extra usb peripherals. but do try increasing the buffer size to the max.

I'll go along with that:
US-122 is absolutely stable in XP and works with zero
or near zero latency on the following applications -
Adobe Audition
Sound Forge
Acid 4.0
Cubase SX
Reason 2.5

How do I know? Coz' I'm running them all myself on a daily basis.
Never a hint of 'latency'.

If you follow through all the post install tweaks and recommendations
regarding buffers and audio-optimisation for XP and ensure you have lotsa spare RAM (512 min)
you really will get what you paid for - a great musician's tool -
with solid dependable performance, great specs and stand-alone USB
performance - great for real mobile use.

There's shed-loads of info out there on the web - type 'audio latency' or
'optimising XP for audio' into Google and make a start. It's WELL worth the effort.
