Help with this rap song mix

Hey guys,

So, this is my song.

I'm on the first verse and the guy I collaborated is on the hook and the second. His vocals are perfect but could you tell me what I need to do for my vocals to sound as close as possible to the quality of this guy's song:

I'm trying to get that soft sound. I recorded mine in Cubase LE and all I did was EQ it and nothing else. That's the best sound I could get. Help PLEASE!
 
Come on guys, some one must be able to do it. Just tell me what you think is missing for my song to sound like the other guy's song. I really need help.
 
Get up on the mic more when you record. Take the EQ off, and compress the crap out of it.
