Help with the arrangement

This song is driving me nuts. It's just not lifting up the way it should, and I can't figure why.

The vocals are a quick run so that you could hear where they'll fit in it all...the final vox will be better, quite a bit. I also think I may have my sister in law do a background part for the chorus, but even that's not quite getting at it. What on earth is keeping this song from being as good as it wants to be??

On headphones I get three things that stand out (to me)....
- the vocals have a good tone
- the hard panning on the guitars is too extreme
- the guitars have lots of bass on them and done blend tone-wise with the vocals.
- drums are hiding as is the bass, but the bass might be struggling with the guitars' tone.

Okay that's four...

Good tune though - catchy and well performed. Few mixing tweaks and it will be even better.

Thanks. I'll try each of those suggestions. I dig the song...sure would make me happy to get it to come out better.
