Hello,
Anyone know how to do this? Do I use the digital I/O of each and slave the mia to the sb's clock? Would like to use the midi capabilities of sb. However, right now everything freezes up if I don't disable sb in device manger. I have tried changing I/O addresses in device manager with no luck. Could it be a IRQ thing?(Properties says no conflicts) A lot of questions, but I am very frustrated, and would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,
Stan

Although this doesn't provide a solution for you, I can mention that I've used a SoundBlaster and MIA on the same PC without a problem, so it is possible to get them to cooperate.

Solved the IRQ problem, but...

would like to know how to set up these two cards to perform with each other using soundfonts, etc.
Thanks,
Stan

do your soundfont parts first and then record them as wav files and import them into a new project with the Mia.....

Yep, don't mess with the digital. SBLive's S/PDIF is dodgy from what I hear. On the other hand, I'm recording a J-Station into the S/PDIF of the Mia with excellent results ( -100db noisefloor ).

I just run a stereo cable to my mixer so that I get the audio stream back down to the Mia. Or you can render the MIDI parts internally and bring in the .wav file into your sequencer.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the tips! I appreciate it.
Cheers,
Stan
