Help With Some rack Questions Please

Hi there
Currently I am in a 2 piece band with a friend (he plays guitar and sings) and I play drums.
As We Are getting more gigs I am keen to add some rack equipment.
Our Current Setup is
Mixer Mackie Pro22fx Mixer
Mackie Thump PA Speakers x 2
Peavey ValveKing 100 watt Guitar Amp
Digitech GNX3000 Guitar Effects pedal.

Thus Far The Drums have not been mic'd but will be needing to do so at some point, Last Gig we did it was drums, all un mic'd, Guitar into the GNX with output going to the Peavey amp and also to the mixer,
and finally the vox going into the mixer.
The Mixer has a few effects on board and some compression also, But I find these to be rather lame with not alot of adjustablilty.
So Im Looking at putting a rack together, But I have no Idea What to get etc,Firstly the Rack itself...?
secondly would like a compressor/gate and maybe a reverb, any other sugestions? also bearing in mind that the drums are going to eventually be mic'd aswell and run through the mixer

Mixing from stage doesn't give you much to go on for getting good sound in the audience. If I were you I'd get a snake and someone to run sound from out front before buying a bunch of rack gear. You'll be a better musician without the distraction of mixing.
