help with simple settings issue....

I dont know what I have changed but I want it back the way it was!!! when I put my curser on a spot and hit play, the tracks start to play but when I hit stop, the cursor moves down to the point where I stopped so that when I hit play again, It picks up where I left off....I want to be able to hit stop and play agian and it start playing where I put the cursor in the first place.....anyone know where this is selected???

Go into Preference - Playback options - Timeline Insertion Follows Playbak (make sure its selected)

Or if it's pro tools 8 there is now a button on the top left hand side under the pen tool, in the edit window.

It can obviously be clicked, or alternatively if you hit the N-key whilst keyboard focus mode is on it will toggle its state.

It was rather annoying in earlier versions because there was no visible sign that this preference had been changed.
