I just bought a RNC 1773 compressor.I have not taken it to the studio yet,but reading the manual it says to use it as a trs insert or on unbalanced gear.
quote from manual:If the equipment you are connecting the RNC to is balanced, you must first unbalance it and only connect into the RNC with TS 1/4'' plugs.
I don't have an insert on my 1880 and my patch bay is balanced 1/4'' TRS.Can I use unbalanced plugs from the RNC to the patch bay (balanced) and out of the patch bay to the 1880 with TRS type plugs?
