I'm trying to find a way to use a scoring program (I have Finale 2012, Sibelius 7 and a couple of others) with a DAW (I use Sonar X2, but also have Audition CS6). I want to do two things:
Have the output of the scoring program route MIDI to the DAW so that I can record separate MIDI tracks in the DAW (I'll live with having to do a single track at a time, but I'd prefer to record multi-track MIDI.
Have the audio out of the scoring program route directly to the DAW so that I can make a multi-track audio recording in the DAW.
It seems that, in theory, I should be able to accomplish this with ReWire, but I can't figure out how. And suggestions would be welcome.
