Here is my current setup
Digi 001 on pc very stable
all bomb factory and waves and focusrite plug ins
dw drum kit with d 112 on kick, sm57 snare the top of the line audix on toms and overheads
rode nt2 and ntk for room and vox.
LA session bass amp 15in
soundcraft ghost Le 32 console(just purchased)and a mackie 1402vlz
3036 comp(not curently using)
Events 20/20 passive monitors-ns10
Art tube Pac pre amp
I'm not happy with the front end and that is what i want to improve.Secondly I want to send each
channel of pt out to console individually.
I am considering
A) focusrite ISA 428 for kic snare vox and overheads(will use ghost pres for rest of the kit)
apogee rosetta 200 ad/da
behringer AD8000 (for busing 8 more tracks to the console)
B)Focusrite ISA 428
alesis hd 24
Lucid da converters
once again my main concern is sound quality and mixing forn pt and the console for the increase headroom. The reason for choosing the hd24 in senario b was I figured i coulg get 24 trk to the console right from the start with better converters than the digi 001. I know this is a long post but please advise. Feel free to sugest othe options. would like to make purchase before weekend. thanks in advance alan
