Help with Motu 828MkII

I'm getting a Error 18 and Error 26 after installing and trying to bring up cuemix console from start menu in Windows XP. I Downloaded a new driver tonight from the MOTU site but have not installed it yet. If anybody has seen these error messages before....let me know what you did to fix them.

Make sure the MOTU is turned on and the FireWire cable is connected properly.
Also note: There have been a rash of defective FireWire cables that have been shipped with some of the MOTU FireWire interfaces. Try a new cable.

If and when you decide to update the drivers, make sure the MOTU is powered OFF during the driver install.
