i have a tascam 4 track that has a mixer bulit in but i want to use a bigger mixer than what bulit in is this possible let me know please

Sure it's possible, just send the outs from your bigger mixer into the 4 track inputs - if it has 4 seperate inputs. Watch the trims on the 4-track and you should be rockin'.

Good answer, Emeric.

BTW, Emeric, DAVEMANIA is still COMING. Fab & pack is almost done, and post time is still within appx 2 weeks. Thanx, emeric, tell-a-friend.

Kid, if you haven't heard of THE DAVEMANIA COLLECTION of Home Recording: 3CD DAVE ANTHOLOGY + SPECIAL NEW BONUS DISC, then, in brief, it's a free 4cd set, of all covers, all home recording, that I'm giving away to all HR members and all Tascambbs members, and practically everybody else. DAVEMANIA- 4CD SET is still available, get your free copy, no strings attached by emailing me with your name & address to: d.archuleta@att.net

Emeric's said it all, technically, about your question, and your 2 mixer setup should be pretty straight forward.

Sorry, if I seem like I'm gratuitously hopping on your post with DAVEMANIA hype, but I want all recording newbies to hear about my free cds. These discs actually showcase some of the recordings I did in my "newbie" phase. I know certain members will keep criticizing me, each time I mention THE DAVEMANIA COLLECTION: FREE 4CD SET of Home Recording. Keep in mind that it's all covers, of my favorite songs, and I'm 40 years old. You'll hear a lot of songs from the '70's, on THE DAVEMANIA COLLECTION, but that's all I'm saying about it.

Contact me at d.archuleta@att.net for your free copy, too. Anyone. Everyone. Come and get it, 'til it's gone.

Emeric's getting his, too, and lots of others, when I finally finish fabrication of DAVEMANIA's 2ND FREE EDITION, which is only days or weeks away from posting.

Hope this helps

sure it can be done. will your 4 track record 4 tracks at once? if so great. run out of the sub outs on your board if you have them. If only 2 tracks at a time you can still do it. Just make sure and get out of the performing room so you can hear what is going on tape.

good luck
