Help !!!! with installation

Ok...I have a tascam 4 track recorder , a behringer mixer,a guitar effects processor , and a deck to mixdown..I need help on how to connect it all together. I don't think it's right the way it is. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!....Actually...another dumb question...is the mixer used to enhance the original recording or the mixdown tape?
I'm kinda new at recording as you can tell!

You connect it with cables. From the output of the recorder to the input of the mixer and from the output of the mixer to the input of the tapedeck.

The mixer is used to mix the separate tracks to a mix.
