Okay, my band recorded demos onto my Tascam 424 mkIII Portastudio. Each instrument (two guitars, drums, bass) are seperated onto 4 individual tracks.
Now, what I want to do is record each of these tracks onto it's own track simultaneously with Cool Edit. Problem is, I just have the factory-installed soundcard that my computer came with, which doesn't have 4 inputs. Is there anyway I can do this? It has a Line In, Aux/Line In 2 & a Microphone input, but Cool Edit doesn't have an option to choose which to record from, and in my computer "Recording Control", it only let's you select one at a time.
I was thinking that I could use Line In & Line In 2, with each track panned opposite directions & everything would be seperated in stereo, but I it doesn't seem like it will work.
I am just doing demos, so it's not a huge deal, but if I COULD do this, it would be great. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
