help wiring my guitar

I'm replacing pots and switches on my Ibanez. I removed the old pots and switch and now I don't know which wire comes from which pickup.
Is there any way to trace which pickup the wire is coming from?
I would like to avoid un-stringing the whole guitar (it has a floyd rose) and removing the pickups. I have a volt meter.

Get some aligator clips and solder them to the end of a cable with a 14 inch TS plug on the other end. Hook it up to one of the pickups, plug it into an amp, and tap the pickup. You'll know if it's the right one.


Or, you could just wiggle the pickups and see if you can tell.
