I recently installed the us-122 on my P4 XP machine with 512 ram. ever since i did this, the unit will work, but i get blue screens of death regularly if i leave the usb plugged in. sometimes i can reboot, other times i need to hold in the start button to shut down and then it will only boot up in safe mode. then i reboot and it's fine... until the next crash. any ideas? i am NOT a techie so i need a 1 -2 buckle my shoe explanation. (sorry) also, tascam doesn't reply to my email requests for technical help (i included all of the crash codes from the blue screen) nor can i get through on the phone and they don't return my call from my voice message. thanks to anyone who may know what to do.

I am sorry to hear that.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for Windows, and turn off anything else that might be on the USB (printers, scanners, cameras, etc.)

Good luck!

apl - thanks for the reply. are you referring to tascam drivers for the device or for some drivers that microsoft provides for xp?

Tascam drivers 3.2.4 can be found here http://www.tascam.de/en/index.html

This driver hangs during installation. Anyone else have this problem? or better yet a solution?
