I just bought a Link.USB. I installed the software and drivers last night. The pc recognized the unit, and is above specs. Everything seemed to be okay. Sound was comming through, and the Link.USB was being recognized by my software.
I loaded cool edit pro 2.0 and attempted to record a vocal track through a condenser. I would start recording, and there would be a very LOUD static sound comming through the headphones. The vocals were being recorded and the static wasnt but the extremely loud static makes it impossible to monitor. It drowns out everything including the instrumental track when recording.
I also tried the asio4all drivers and the same problem.
