Help Split Acoustic Electric to A/B signal chains (dry/effects) then join into DI?

So basically this is for live shows not really recording. I play Acoustic electric, and use various effects once in a while, mostly gain stuff like lite distortions and wah and whatnot. Right now I just run them right through to the pedals like this GUITAR 1/4>WAH>SANSAMP GT>PETERSON STOBOSTOMP TUNER/DI>BOARD and I stomp the effects as needed.

But I wanted to split them via ABY type switch and run a dry signal with the effect sometimes. The setup would run;

acoustic then split signal to chan a and B. Chan A joins end of chan B(at an ABY switch box?) then right to the the DI Chan B goes through wah>GT2AMP>ABYSelector Box>DI.

The problem is signal loss, how do I split it coming out of the guitar and then join it again with no noticeable signal loss.

I ordered a Morley ABY switch should this be fine? How about joining them?

Im thinking of trying a simple mono cable splitter from the guitar chain A hook right to A on the ABY and Chain b to effects chain then to B on the ABY and then send the joined signal (from the morley aby) to the DI.. I'm hopeing the levels will be equal through both chains.

Should I expect serious degradation or should this theoretically be fine?

I may actually consider using a mono-stereo paning volume pedal to mix and switch between 2 sources once I get some more dough.

Your input will greatly be appreciated.

Thank you!
Josh

A better idea would be to use a small mixing board with the FX in the loop.

not a bad idea, but will a small board fit on a small pedal board? :) Theres probably a loop effect pedal... Ah the Radial Loopbone. Unfortunatly I dont have 240 dollars for such a devince..

the lop effect pedal wont let me run a dry signal at the same time :(
