Ok I have done some recording and transfered the song to a CD and then to a PC. It was ripped in WMP and is listed as a MP3 but it is huge.......I can only email someing smaller then 5 MBs and its 14.2 MBs. How do I shrink this file to send in email????? Did I do something wrong? Thank you in advance.

You need to adjust the bitrate down to make the file smaller. I'm not sure how to do this in WMP, but I'm sure it's in preferences.

Sounds like you may have created the MP3 with a high bitrate
(e.g. 320kbs). See if your MP3 conversion program has a lower bitrate setting like 256 or 128kbs

edit: Farview beat me to it

Thanx guys thats exzactly what I did (320kbs) so now I just need to figure out how to change that :)

It's in Windows Media Player's preferences in the "Ripping" tab.

yeah you gotta reduce the bitrate, i used to have that problem myself.....
