Help Recording

Hey I have just got a Yamaha MW12C USB mixing studio. I won't to record my band on it I have cubase 5 software i have plug my mixer to the computer but dunno how to record we try useing the manual but just can't get it to work. Can any one help us ?

What kind of computer? Is your soundcard perhaps set to "playback"? If so, try setting it to "recording".
 
I have a HP PAVILION computer im not a whiz kid with computers where would you change your soundcard settings would it be on Control Panel?

Well if it's anything like mine, click on Control Panel > Sound And Audio Devices> Advanced > Options > Properties

See if it's checked off as "recording".

Thanks for the help but no luck still. It's killing me!
 
I just been messing around with cubase and my mics and i got this message "Vst system link has been deactivated because of to many receive errors!" Be great full if some one could help.
