I was recording a friend's band Live off the Floor in my basement, and the guitarist wanted to go "Direct" into the mixer with Boss ME70.
Clean sounds are OK, but Distortions are grainy.
Is there anything I can do the Fix now the track is recorded that can possibly make the Distortion sound like it should ?

Any ideas ?

The sound is already printed on the track. Not much you can do to take it away.

If it's on it's own track, you could try re-amping it (playing it back through a guitar amp and re-recording it to another track).

Alan.

Great idea. Thanks.
I tried Amplitube Free Clean amp and that did not sound that great
then I tried AmpLion Free "Clean" and the ADT (Automatic Double Tracker free VST which I use on most guitar tracks and vocals) TA DA ... full on distortion. :guitar:
AMPLION FREE Audiffex » ampLion Free
ADT (( vacuumsound ))

Sorry, I should have said the Drums were mic'd individually, Bass guitar via ME70 direct (mono) and guitar via ME70 direct (stereo), recorded Live in one take, including vocals. Absolutely no bleed, except vocal tracks had drums. But, I cut out the 2 vocal tracks where there was no singing.
Audio interface: Alesis Multimix 16 USB 2.0 @ 24/44.1k. 9 tracks Live.
