help! Reason 2.5 will not start

I have Dell Inspiron laptop with the built-in SigmaTel sound card (I have the latest WDM drivers installed). Reason will not even start on this machine - has anyone had experience with this? Reason works just fine on my studio computer, but I just can't get it to work on this laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You need to give more information than this. That's like saying "my computer won't start"...there could be a million causes. Is it giving any error messages? Is it just not showing up? Is it starting and then crashing? What's going on?

When I launch Reason, a Window appears that is completely blank - empty. After about 15 seconds another, smaller window appears which looks like it would contain an error message (it makes an error message sound), but it is also empty.
 
Has it ever started or has it been doing this ever since you installed Reason?
