Help picking mics!

Ok,

I am planning to mic my guitars with sm57's.

I want to have 7 mics.

4 for drums.(bass,snare,overheads)
2 for electric guitar (sm57's)
1 for vox/acoustic guitar
then I want to leave the other channel of my octane to bass/keyboard.

What would you suggest for the drums and for vox/acoustic guitar?

Budget is about 800, preferably cheaper but Im willing to cough up that much

Do you need to record all at once?

Cause your drum overheads could be 2 small condensors, say MXL 603/604, which in turn make great acoustic guitar mics. Snare could be another SM57. Kick could be a D112 or a D6. As far as vocals, get the best LDC you can afford, something from Rode, Audio Technica, or even an MXL V69 would be great, not sure if you will have enough money though.

Perhaps a Tube?

Nothing I like better on a voice and guitar than a good solid Tube. . .esp if you plan on having the acoustic jump through a mix. . .I only record VOX and Guitar (loops or pals for everything else) I went with a Groove Tubes GT66 and the Brick. . .covers the VOX/Guitar bases very well. . .the other shit, I don't know

WHen I say the budget is 800, i mean that for the drum and vox, I already have 2 57's for guitars

see if you can pick up an Audio Technica 4050 used or B-stock. I just picked up a B-stock one for $350..and I love it. Solid multi pattern mic, will sound good on almost anything you put it on.

+ another vote for Audix D6 - use on kick drum/floor toms/bass cabs. sounds good, very modern.

Other than that, a pair of SDC mics: rode nt5, oktava 012, studio projects c4 - these are popular for drum overheads, acoustic guitar, and other stereo micing applications.
