Ok, I want to get a new mixer that is analog or digital.

I would like to be able to have it formated like an analog and work like one, but i would be able to use it as a DAW and control those annoying little faders on the computer with the faders.

I would need it to be able to record up to 8 tracks simutaneously, but id like to have atleast 16 tracks so i can go over later and add parts like solo/key arrangments/backround vox etc.

So i assume to do that i would need Midi technology?

feel free to ask me more questions about the criteria if i wasnt specific enough.

Thanks

Mike

budget: 1500-2000

For everything?

If it's just a project studio those roland/tascam all in one things might work.

I wouldnt expect to make anything "great" with it. You still need a good room and monitors if you didnt get their yet. Dont for get that mic collection
