I have a version of Cool Edit that came with my Gina sound card. I can record mono or stereo but what I want to do is to record some guitar and then play that back while I am recording violin. How do I do that?

Go to multitrack view, record something on channel 1, when playing channel 1 record on channel 2 etc.. At least if you've got CEPro, else you will have got to do it in very uneasy ways.

I'm not sure if they gave Cool Edit Pro as a bonus for the card. Usually, it comes only with Cool Edit 2000 (or any lite version without multitrack option)...
