Hi. This is my first posting here and I’m relying on you guys to sort out a couple of problems for me! ;-)
Equipment: Quad Core PC (XP Media Ed) – Cubase SX3 – XGPad – SW1000XG – Phonic HelixBoard 12 Firewire MKII.
(Note: I only use the SW1000 as a midi synth, not for audio.)
Q1. How do I set up XGPad with SX3 so that I can record changes into SX3? I’ve installed Maple Virtual Midi Cable but can’t get a ‘connection’.
Q2. How do I set up SW1000XG so that the midi output is routed through the HelixBoard firewire output? At present I’m taking an audio out from the SW1000 to an input on the HelixBoard, which is then returned to an audio channel in SX3. This causes timing (quantizing) issues because of the induced latency.
