From all my tests, the L2 is a better plugin than the L1+. Also, the Waves Linear Multiband is the best "quick-fix/demo" mastering tool I've heard.
That said, I have to agree at least partly with Bruce on this one. Although the mixes are quite "DIY" and "lofi," I can't understand 90% of the lyrics (in Jonathan), and that means the vocal mix is wrong. That is something that is extremely difficult to fix in the mix. Also, that weird vocal vibrato on Dick Oskie obscures the vocal line, it's just too loud. And your drum mixes should be a little more similar on each song. There are other little naggy fixes that I could suggest.
I know it's unpopular to say this, and I know it's cool to be "alterna" and "DIY," but it's never cool to put something out that could be a lot better with another decent pass at the mix.
