Help!! Need more mic inputs

I have a ZOOM 802-mrs multitrack recorder with 2 mic inputs, but i want to record drums with more than 2 mics, what do i need to get to make that possible??? Thanks.

Yamaha MG mixer.

You need a small mixer with more mic preamp inputs, then you can run the mixer main out to your zoom. Consider a behringer or mackie

But don't forget that once you've summed all drum tracks down to two channels, you lose control over the individual mics, so make sure what's being recorded is what you want.

my recorder only has output jacks

my recorder only has output jacks and 2 mic input jacks what would i connect the mixer to???

Take the outputs of the mixer (stereo) to the input jacks on the Zoom. Are the jacks 1/4" or XLR? You can connect either types from most mixers. You can then mix the 4 mics from the drums to a stereo track in your Zoom.
