Help my line in is actin up!

I usually use my line in on my sound card, and today I'm having a problem with the cool edit pro hearing it. Also cakewalk music creator. I hooked up to the mic-in and it works but not the line in. Also, I do hear sound out of my speakers with the line in, but when I hit record in CEP it doesn't hear a thing, there seems to me noise, but thats it. It was working yesterday and all this week, what the heck!, I think this happened to me a long time ago, but I don't remember what I did. this happended out of thin air! HELP
 
go into your sound options, select line in for recording, and turn the volume up.

hey i had this same problem. i was using CEP2.0 also. for me it was a bad chord. once i used a different chord it was fine

thanks, but I had already fixed it, it was in my options in CEP 2.0 the sound source was selected for my mic, and I'm not talking about the windows sound options, that was selected for loine in like always, weird. I had just used it the day before, I don't knw how it happened, but it did. thanks again
