Song recorded sitting on my bed, used behringer C-2 for acoustic, B-2 for vocal. Sampletank for strings, Bass DI. Used Presonus MP20 with Burr browns and Jensen trannys. Line 6 UX2 toneport as interface, only compression.

Now I feel like some better mixing would help, any pointers? Are the strings too loud? I think so.

I love the song and performance really good! Excellent vocals. The only thing I hear is some mud on the acoustic guitars, I'd cut the lows and low-mids, maybe even give a tiny boost to the highs. Strings sound good to me. Really enjoyed the song, great work.

Sometimes I like to try parallel compression on acoustic guitars, or even multiband parallel compression. It's worked for me on occasion.
