Help Mix/master

I am NEW at recording. I have the KORG D16XD, MOtif 8, the SAMSUNG 50a'S, and a AKG condenser. I have recorded some people in my back room and It sounds like !!!!!!. What can I Do? When i hear it in the monitors it sounds OK;however, when i master it and put it on CD, it sounds low. i want my mixes to sound just like the ones you buy at WAL-MART!

This is probably the most frequently asked question on these forums; it comes up at least once a week on average.

Search these forums for the keywords "mastering" or "low volume" and you'll likely find a wealth of threads talking about ths very topic.
