Ok I'm was playing some guitar when i came across this riff and I've descieded to turn it into a song... I was wondering if u could take a listen to it. My plan it to use it as the intro/interlude, but I need to figure out a chord progression to harmonize with it and to use as the verse. I was wondering if anyone could listen to it any maybe give me suggestions on chord progressions or basically any other tips.

Thanks
Chris

Or you can try to be a composer and be creative instead of reproducing those old progressions again and again:rolleyes:

I hate to say this but there isnt a new chord progression available, they've all been used.

Dragonworks, i think you're right..........on the other hand, new melodies are everywhere........in my opinion, the strength of a song lies in the melodies rather than the interesting changes....some of my favorite songs i have written have the simplest progressions, but interesting melodies.....
