HI, ive read a fair bit on accoustics but wanted some advice more specifically for the room im working in.

unfortunately i seem to have the dreaded cube, approx 12x12ft, but its all i have so...any way my main issue is the large double window behind my listening position (on the back wall not the wall where the monitors are)

let me explain my plans and see if im anywhere near?
im planning not to bass trap it as i here a window will let out most of the low freq and i can pull the curtain across to deal with the highs
im gonna bass trap the four corners and and further treatment at first relection points on walls and ceiling, floor is laminate but bed takes up half of room so its kinda half treated?

any tips?

Well, first of all, laminate floor is good. A reflective floor is a good thing.

As far as not trapping a 12x12 room, I'm no expert but that doesn't sound like a good idea to me, window or not.

EDIT: Sorry, I mis-read your post. You ARE going to trap the corners...that's good.

ok, thanks for the reply, yes im planning to trap the corners, im just thinking maybe better to leave the window untreated?
