help me spend my money neumann vs studio projects vs avalon

then i called Roland and they said it didnt matter what channel i plugged it into as long as the trim was on LINE and not MIC, therefore there isnt any preamp flavor...

who is really right on this one? and $800 for the AD convertor? oh man....

You're OK. They're both right. Just output to a line-in on the board and that's it. I don't think you're getting a real inaccurate sound from your Avalon going line on the board. Sure it would be nice to output directly to a Lucid but I'm not sure you're going to be floored over the results -plus you'd need a I/O card with that, more bucks.

I think a tube mic would add nicely to your collection - Rode K2, SP T3, etc.

Maybe a set (4) of nice preamps for general tracking like a Sytek-MPX4Aii

Tube mic (K2) and quad preamp package, 1,600.00-1,700.00

Yea, this is one of my first posts. I bought a Rosetta a long time ago and use that to go into my digital inputs of my 1880. IM A FREAKING DINOSAUR!!!

well...I didnt realize it at first...but I was reading through it...and BAM!!!! a post from DJL....I was like damn...this thing has to be old.
