Got about 1K to spend,what hardware should I add to my hip hop and R& B studio, I already have a motif and mpc 2000xl


1.Used Korg Triton Rack
2.Korg Triton LE
3.EMU Proteus 1000 w/ mo phatt chip and a used Korg MS 2000R
4.Others ..........

If you're using a computer, then Spetrasonics Stylus is a must for your type of music. Also their soon to be released Trillogy & Atmosphere.

I definitely think you would be happiest w/ the mo'phatt and ms2000. You've already got the motif as a workstation, you don't need a triton.

that just shows what you know
the proteus and ms though, sounds as a great addition to a motif...

Like they said you already got the workstation, controller, and drums/sequencer. I'm guessing all you really want is more sounds. Right?

Do you program our own sounds in your Motif?

Really you could just drop a expansion sound board and the full memory in the Motif. MPC got full memory?

You could always buy a bunch of sample disks and scsi drive to load em in your Motif and MPC.
