Help me please

I am finding that I have way 2 many plug-ins on my system (Vst and Direct X) Is there a program that will allow me to uninstall some of them ?. Only a few are installed in the VST folder, I think the rest are scattered around my hard drive. When I start any of my programs (cubebase or samplitude for example) about 30 plugins are loaded but I only use one or two of them.
