hi!
I will get the delta 1010 (maybe the 1010LT).
I will need about 7 to 8 mic for drums. I want to know what is the best and cheapest thing for me to do.
Buy a mixer with direct outs or buy a module with many preamps and direct outs.
I was looking at the yamaha mg16/4. Do you know if I can get 8 completely independant signals and route them in my computer with the yamaha? Do you have any other suggestions for mixers? (I am looking for some good preamps, thats all).
If you have any suggestions for preamp units or mixers, tell it to me. I don't know a lot about mixers and preamps...
And between : old tascam (from the 80s), behringer UB series and Yamaha Mg, which has better preamps? thx

You might want to look for info on the various types and styles of system setup options, then go from there. A mixer as a center-piece-combo-router with pres and direct outs is one fairly traditional way to go. Mackies are a decent mid starting point, other cheaper ones will do the job.

If the mixer has inserts on each channel then you can use the inserts as direct outs.
