Help Me ... Need Very Quick Response

I just purchased a blackface ADAT off of ebay and if it doesnt work i have only 3 days to return it ... so i need a quick response on this.

Every time i try to put a formatted 16bit ADAT tape in the machine it spits it back out and reads: "Er 2".

Whats wrong with it? How can i fix it?

If this thing is broken i am going to get really pissed off. The last 3 multitrack recorders i have purchased have been broken (2 from mars ... one from the paper).

so please please please please please help!

I've had a similar problem, but noticed that the all safe button was on. Make sure this button is not lit when you try to format the tape. Let me know if this works, I've got two BF's and a BRC at school, maybe I can help you tomorrow.
