i have an oktava 319 microphone. i was thinking about selling it on ebay but i changed my mind.
i was just plugging it into the mixer and there is no noise but it sounds kind of boring and lackluster. so i bought a presonus tubepre but it was too noisy there was always a swishing whirling sound in the background even with the microphone unplugged. might be ok for live and some styles of rock but not good for recording especially hip hop. my music is clean and i can't have a swishing sound in the background. so i don't want anything with tubes cause to me tubes=noise. i was thinking about the m-audio dmp3 perhaps.
is it that the oktava 319 isn't that good of a microphone? anyone else have any experience with this mic? are the preamps in the behringer not that good? if i get the dmp3 will it sound better?
