howdy!

My good meaning and curvy wife bought Digi's mbox factory,
pro-tools on a diet I guess.

Question,

I have a pc to dedicate to home recording of my guitar, bass etc...

I know I need monitors and a crapload of other stuff, but what I want to do
is actually have a "real" mixing console, not use a mouse.

I will be doing everything here DI, BTW.

I have done pro recording as a guitar slinger for quite a while,
What I crank out here will be taken to a real studio
for sweetening etc....

tnx Allen Cross

soooooooooooooooo....the question is what?

are you looking for a mixer just because you want the hands on feel? if so...look at the many software control surfaces that are available on the market. Mackie makes the Control Universal and the C4, tascam makes the FW-1082, US224 and the US428...Digi makes the Command 8. Behringer makes a couple cheap ones as does JL Cooper. Not sure all of these work with PT, but most of them probably do.

Thanks much grande.

Yes, I want the hands on feel of faders.
I know I will still need a mouse for some things but faders
are what I am used to.

Thanks for the PT forum link

Rock on,
Allen
