I have a Teisco stereo preamp from about 1968. Two channel, with reverb and tremelo, high, mid, low on each channel. Anybody else ever see one of these things or know where I might be able to find a schematic.

They use to sell Teisco guitars at drug stores years ago, I didn't know they made a preamp, is there a model number on it? Also. did you try doing a http://www.google.com search yet?

I have searched all over. It is definatley a guitar stereo preamp. 512x7s
Its deifinately a Teisco. Has the logo and name right on it. Hard wired.
I have other people looking for me also and they are receiving the same skepticism.

I have been to this site allready, left a thread in their forums and am checking once in awhile for a response.

I can't seem to locate any info either. How does it sound?

ive been carrying it around for over 20 years, it never worked right when it was given to me all though I could get a signal through it. My bass player remembers his first guitar being a teisco a stereo guitar and suggested this may be related some how.
I will keep looking. This thing may be a rare animal and command top dollar.
hahahahahahah

Well, you never know, it just might be worth a something if you can get it to work right. Good luck.

I owned one back in the 60s

If you still have it I'd like to buy it. I'd like to try recreating the sound from back then.

I know Tiesco made amps under a variety of other brand names. It may be useful to try looking for a stereo preamp schematic under one of them.

I know the following brands were sometimes made by Tiesco: Teisco, Marco Polo, Melody, Beltone, Sears, Northland, There were probably others.

i'ld just start relacing shit in it... all the electrolytic caps for starters... pull one end of resistors loose and check that they are close to the range... what kinda power supply??? tube rectfier or SS??? where's the voltage at???? i know tubes can be scary at first but if you treat them with respect and are carefull they really aint all that hard... especially a front end piece like this...

Ronsound

When I'm trying to bend some pedals I send an email to this guy...

schematics@ronsound.com

he's got hundreds of schematics, mostly of pedals, but who knows, he might help. Or know where to find it. Or draw the thing for you.
