Hi there, AL-B here,

I am very new to this forum stuff, Im UK based and seeking information on buying some simple equipment. The equipment would consist of me being able to sing digitally and to delete various master voices from Cd trackts etc for myself to sing over. Is there any Program or karaoke system available to do this.

Hope Im in the right place - if not please advice me.

Many thanks,

AL-B

There are CDs available consisting of song arrangements designed for karaoke use where the vocal has been eliminated. You would be far more successful with these than trying to strip out the vocal from commercial CDs...

Of course, these CDs can be used with even the simplest form of CD player and recording gear for experimentation.........

you could zap the vocals If you understand how phasing works. just take two speakers opposite of normal. two reds on one speaker, two blacks on the other. when played if the speakers are close enough together the vocals and bass should be "zapped". I haven't had to do this myself but I am pretty sure this is how you do it. same thing should go for outputs. if you invert the wires it should do the same thing so you could record it. it only works in mono. (ie: same thing coming out of both speakers.
