.. but i don't have any idea on what configuration i've to use for audiorecording.. Many People sayd athlon Xp others P4 ...But my Experience tell me that the first problem is the perfect compatibility between chipset (of the mainboard) and the AudioCard.. reading the topic sound interesting The M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 ..wich mainboard should be work PERFECT with this Sound Card.. ? Someone told me stay away from Via chipset..(Asus and Amd maybe?) and a rock solid configuration is with P4 And Chipset Intel 845Ep/or 850 ..i'm so confused please help.

Just get a computer. It really does not matter too incredibly much. I've had mostly AMD/VIA computers and never had any problems. The OS isn't critical, XP works great but I've never needed to upgrade from win98 yet. Don't listen to the nay-sayers, almost any reasonably modern computer will give decent results. The audiocard is the main consideration. The main questions you need to answer are concerning I/O options. How many tracks do you need to record simultaneously and how many will you need to buss out of the computer for mixing or mastering. If you will have a typical overdubbing home studio the you probably don't need more than a two in two out card like the Echo Mia or M-audio Audiophile. Don't get bogged down in the details.

I have a PC with XP Pro, Athlon XP, Soyo Dragon(Via Chipset) and have been doing great so far. Don't get hung up on detalis, get two silent hard drives, a powerful and fast processor a name brand motherboard, quelity memory and you'll also be fine. If you have more speceific questions, ask them. BTW the AMD vs Intel decision is still a personal preference for everybody based on their past experiences.
