KICK ASS. i never heard the first version, but I was very impressed with this version.

Crap.........it's rebuffering every 2 seconds. I'll try again tonight

thanks JR! the first ears did not tell me it sucked.. cool!

hey Lt, thanks for trying bud.. I never bother to stream from Nowhere anymore, it gets too annoying.. I just download to desktop, and erase it immediately, unless it's from one of my favorites..

thanks

Sam I'll dig this in a bit...I just got called for some fragging :)

Man you're really putting your NWR subscription to good use! You've got a helluva reportiore (or whatever it is...). :D

I missed the first v. but I like this intro, nice guitar ideas.

Vocals...

There we go!

Nice clear vox! I like it...is there little chorus on there. I like a little chorus on the vox now and then, and I don't find the use here over bearing. It doesn't seem to bury your natural tone.

Cool stereo vox.

Cool stuff at 2:45 ish..whacky gits...

Cool change around 3:25...one could do some pretty haunting vocals through that.

Oh it's over. Had to check my file :) you got me...

I highly....

HIGHLY

HIGHLY recommend you continue to go hands free. That should keep your vox so much more consistant...AND easier to mix!
That sounded killer Sam!

I like some of it a lot. You actually have a small bass line in there :D.

I don't care for that whole "Tull-esque" sound during the verses/choruses... you definitely have that Ozzy vocal style going on, but NOT JUST an Ozzy ripoff. You're definitely exercising your voice more and more in your recordings. I've played in a band or two where the lead singer could hold a note, you're one or twenty up on them already ;).

I like the fact you were definitely challenging yourself musically, combining a lot of influences and sounds. Always love that fat guitar. If I could get mine sounding like that I'd never leave the house! lol

(BTW--no new tunes from me, my musical cohort has been in a slump and I haven't felt inspired to do much of anything on my own)

I've been letting this loop, and the more times I hear it the more I like it.

I love the first minute+, that smooth spot followed by that Alice In Chains - so - slow - needle - metal works really well, it was in the faster part at the end I heard that Jethro Tull sound, which I am not crazy about (though I respect it).

Have some nice guitar work in there, very subtle stuff.

The end keyboards kinda jump out, I like the piece of music it's playing, but I don't think it fits with the rest of the song.

Very nice. Extremely well recorded. Everything is clean and distinct. I liked to vox and the arrangement was creative. Neat ending.

Emeric - (from other thread) hey Emeric, yeah I have this problem with mood swings and it doesn't translate properly to music sometimes.. thanks for checking it out man!

SLuice - that is *quite cool* to hear from you.. you da man! hope your not just being soft! If someone put up a song that sounded like mine, I bet I would have more complaints.. It was pretty strange not holding the mic, but I should have done it a long time ago.. it almost makes me want to resing all the other tunes.. your shit is sounding mint lately.. thanks Tom!

Pinky -"You actually have a small bass line in there " hehe! the only real bass is in the breaks.. the rest was synth bass.. slowly but surely I will get back to real bass.. thanks man.. I'm really looking forward to your next post.. I will have my microscope out! :D it's the least I can do..

dachay2tnr - after just listening to your song, I appreciate your ears on this.. yours is one of the few recordings that I had no complaints with..

dudes, thanks!

This is very well done. The vocals were much better and sounded great. Man I heard so many influences in this. Very progressive. I dont mind the changes. I think the ending was a bit abrupt though. The mix sounded good also. Maybe the ending should have an echo out or like a door slam effect...Just my opinion.
Myx

wow..this is 200% better...especially the singing. Gtrs sound different too...the whole mix. What did you do ...and if you say nothing, I won't believe it.

A couple people around here, there is no critisizing stuff anymore...your one of two. ...dickhead

actually, the pure enjoyment of it is enough... I can JUST do that...eh?

(Got out of class early... so....)

One of our bro's yells for help!! Can't let sammy drown, here :)

Wow. Huge. Who needs help? Who's drowning? (cool that you actually sing about drowning in this toon ;)) Nobody's drowning... you're walkin on the water :D (sheeit...;))

You know, that trippy intro and quick change sounds great. No complaints here. And... must we rip it apart? We must not, this time. Perfect use of flange... love it. Great vocals. You never disappoint in the vocal delivery (well... maybe w/the headcold + "Krazy") This thing flat out rocks in that uptempo part. Great song. For the millionth time :)

Much better.........especially the vox. But did you do some mixing changes too?.....it sounds clearer than the other take.
I especially like the intro a lot.....and then the song....very cool. Even the fast part was ok this time.....maybe because you got the vox up enough so that I could get a better feel for it.
And I still like the abrupt ending. Very nice

I'd have to agree... your vocals sound better overall. This particular sound is a lot more "real".. not as "effected" as usual. (I'm assuming that was your goal? :p) The mix is clean too.

Killer stuff. You put out some creative shit man. The vocals sound GREAT!! The mix sounds Great. If I had to pick any thing to bug you about it sounds like the vocals mught need a little air in them (high end) but what do I know I have a massive dropout in my hearing at about 8k. begs the question "what the hell am I doing here?" :D

Good stuff man! I would never wonder how it made it to a store shelf:D

I didnt catch version 1(too many songs onthis board to keep up with these days!)

This is the BEST Mix of a song you've done so far. This is killer in all the right places.Music is great and the drums are kickin.(that cant be the SR 16?)

The Vocals sound as good as anything Ozzy has recorded.Best vocal you've posted so far.You are honing in on this stuff man just like SLuiCe.Too good for me to offer any suggestions.

Very catchy melody.I dig it with a shovel man.

I think you have more of your own vocal sound on this. And it's very good. Seems like I listened to one of yours that was very Ozzy like. Also sounded great but I like this better.

I agree 100%.....
Very cool Sam
Cool change up at 2:35....kickin'!

The thing that I liked the best was the awesome harmony created by the two vox tracks...very cool man,
sort of ended abruptly though....no fade just a hard stop...hmmmm....I' sure your not done with it though...

Take it easy man,
Joe

yeah, sam, you REALLY need help. NOT. Sounds great. Hands free is the way to go. And you can play with yourself while singging. And you can roll up another spliff while singging too.
