HELP! DMAN2044 input monitoring latency

Hi Folks

I'm new to the forum and was hoping one of you knowledgeable souls can help me out.

I'm running a WIN98SE PC based DAW with a DMAN2044. I am experiencing a ~750ms delay when using input monitoring (in SONAR and Vegas Video).

I understand that this is an issue with the MME drivers...and I know that M-Audio doesn't make a WMD driver for the 2044.

...but, The card claims to support ASIO. Is there an ASIO driver that will work with my card/OS? I've searched the net for hours and have had no luck.

If not...what are all you DMAN2044 users doing to overcome the input monitoring latency issue?

Well....I decided to post a reply to myself just in case someone else with my problem comes to this forum and does a search on the topic.

The Dman2044 is an OBSOLETE card. It willo not run under winXP and there will never be a WMD or ASIO driver made for it.

I am now monitoring input through a minidisc 4-track, with an Aux send feeding the Dman's inputs. Forget about using realtime DSP.

If I hadn't gotten the card so cheap, I'd be really pissed.
