help..connecting monitors directly to audiophile 2496

When I connect my monitors directly to my audiophile I have no control over the volume of the monitors When I move the faders in the audiophile control panel, nothing happens. The volume stays the same.

The Delta panel faders will only control the output if you have it's patchbay tab set up right - you want the monitor mixer feeding whatever output is feeding your monitors.
 
i enabled the monitor/mixer but then i get no output at all
 
Are the master and faders you have signal feeding muted? Make sure the mutes are unchecked at the bottom of the mixer screen.
Assuming you have powered/active monitors are these analog or (like some Roland ones) s/pdif? If analog, the patchbay/router bullet for H/W analog 1&2 should have the monitor mixer dotted. If your audio program is feeding analog out 1&2 then turning that fader and the master up in the monitor mixer should be feeding the output set in the patchbay.
